My Cyril Natarajan

Mr. Cyril Natarajan has been practicing for over 20 years in both Malaysia and UK. Receiving his undergraduate education from The University of Malaya and surgical postgraduate degrees from the UK where he worked for 10 years as a Staff Urologist. Mr. Cyril is a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

In 2005, he was conferred the degree Msc. in Urology from the University of London, where his main research interest was in predicting outcome for patients undergoing prostatectomies.

With special interest in Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction and particularly Benign Prostate Hyperplasia,

Mr. Cyril has participated in many studies and presented vastly on the topics. He is currently working at Hospital Selayang & HKL as a Clinical Specialist.

 

Dr Jeyarajah Sivalingam

Dr Jeyarajah Sivalingam

Dr Jeyarajah Sivalingam is a senior lecturer in Cardiology at UITM. He also shares special interest in modalities of modifying the “Aging Heart”. The main areas of interest being in stem cell research and hormonal modulation. In enabling further inroads in this field he is actively involved in application and promotion of evidence based medicine in Aging Science.
His previous appointments were Physician in General Medicine in Selayang Hospital and he also has had training in Anaesthesia and Intensive care in Kajang Hospital.

His first appointment here was in Seberang Jaya hospital in Pulau Pinang. Dr Jeyarajah is a member of Royal College of Physicians (UK). In 2005, he was awarded the Certificate of Excellence by Director General of Health Malaysia.

 

Prof Harbindar Jeet Singh

Prof Harbindar Jeet Singh

Dr Harbindar Jeet Singh currently holds the position of professor of physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, UiTM, Shah Alam.

He is a graduate of University of Manchester, UK, where he obtained his PhD in 1985.  Upon his return to Malaysia in 1985 he joined the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang before moving to Kota Bharu in 1990.  He joined UiTM in July 2007.

His research interests have involved the kidney and exercise physiology and more recently, hypertension, and leptin in reproductive physiology.   He has nearly 60 original research publications in indexed journals and has over 100 conference presentations.

He was a recipient of the Fulbright scholarship award in 2004 and spent 8 months researching on the placenta at University of California in San Francisco.  In 2003 he was recognised as ‘Tokoh’ Batu Gajah by the national archives.

He was one of the pioneers in establishing the human performance unit at the Scholl of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and over the years he has provided physical fitness assessments to state and national athletes, squash, and football players.

He has delivered numerous lectures on exercise and fitness over the last 25 years.
